I like about this league is that you even have to get your GCL prospects before list season begins. Guys that were on the Rays in the last year or so: DeLeon, Cosart, Hood, Mendez. Roster crunch is a bitch as only Hood is still a Ray.

Agreed, it is a great thing in this league that GM's are dialed in and prospect all the way down to the rookie leagues.
It is also a great thing that GM's that choose to sign players from that level have to make a roster decision and could end up sacrificing a player from a higher level in order to keep those GCL players on their roster for 3-4 seasons.
The Risk/Reward aspect is the best part and something we should take into account when considering any roster expansion in the future.

If this guy doesn't answer an Ozuna question in the chat, I'm considering it an erroneous omission (bad editing/fact checking maybe?). Mike Tonkin (an IBC Astro) is another tough omission. He might have been a 30th rd steal by the Twins last yr out of HS. I'm all over the map w/ my draft classes. Twice I've had arguably the best draft of any team, and twice I've had arguably the worst draft in the IBC. My 08 draft was so bad I had to trade the only decent player I got (Schlereth) just to wash the taste out of my mouth since I'm pretty sure every other draftee was released by midseason. So I kinda had no choice but to dig into the lower minors and try to restock the draft roster. Loading up on these guys is a risk, but if a projectable arm adds a couple mph on his fastball and breaks out, it'll be worth prematurely dumping either an older MLB vet like Mahay or a more adv, but lower-ceiling prospect than the guy I want to add. If 1 out of every 3 DSL/Rookie/A-ball guys I added during the season turned into a good prospect/trading chip by the end of the following season, I'd happily take it and use the open spots from the washouts to fill bullpen holes, etc for the upcoming season. It's crazy though that even sifting through guys at the lowest levels of the minors, most of the guys I search for with the player finder are on somebody's roster already.
