Milwaukee GM Moves

Post by Cardinals »

With much regret, we have decided to remove Kegan LeFort as GM of the Brewers. We had some apprehensions to begin with given his track record of activity level, but since basically everybody in the league knew Kegan and he had vowed to be active and up to snuff, we felt compelled to give him a third? chance. Suffice to say, he has been non-responsive and nonexistent for the past month. He hasn't returned IM's nor even opened PM's from the first half of March. The activity level was simply well below par and didn't bode well for the future, monitoring the DL, actively managing the roster and sending in lineups.

On the bright side of things, we already have a replacement ready to go. A few of you may know him from other leagues and he comes from the suggestion of Brett P., Ben Montgomery will be taking over the Brewers. His IBC League email address is benmontgomery@ibcleague.com, and his AIM Screen Name is NMUWildcat027. Ben should be an excellent addition to the league and is coming in at the perfect time to help get the league kicked off for Opening Day this weekend.

I think Ben is a great choice...he's done great things in WIBL & BCMBL...and now CBA....

I had some talks with Kegan when he first joined...which ultimately went idle....which was quite annoying, so I can see the move.

Ben is a valued addition...as long as he trades me his best players.

Don't think he's gonna trade like a newbie....won't happen.

Hello Everyone. I hear that I know a lot of you through different leagues. My current roster includes.

LWNN - Athletics
WIBL - Padres
BCMBL - Phillies
BNSL - Reds
CBA - Sluggers
IBC - Brewers

I am sure in this world of sim baseball, i have crossed paths with a lot of people. Brett told me that this place is where people come to show how good they really are. I am excited to join a league with such proven stability.

Therefore as my first act of the general manager of the Milwaukee Brewers I am going to open up my roster to a full rebuild. This roster is stuck in the middle with a lot of good depth, without too many impact players beyond Adrian Gonzalez. There is no untouchable player on the roster, but I also am not just giving players away. I prefer to make a lot of smaller deals, then make big 8 for 8 deal, so I am not likely going to accept an offer that gives up my top 3-4 players. I am a very active owner. In my last big rebuild when I took over the LWNN Athletics I made something like 60 trades over the course of two years and traded all but two players on the entire roster. As I look to make deals at the begining, I ask that people send me offers or at least some idea of what they could be offering, as I have needs at every spot for the future, and I expect to be getting contacted by many teams. I don't build with just prospects, but I don't see the need for very many players over 30 years old.

Thanks for allowing me to join this league, and I look forward to talking to each and every one of you. See you in the hot stove.
