Signing Freeze

Post by Dodgers »

Putting it to a vote since expediency seems important here. Freeze is to prevent advantages when choosing a projection system.

Brett posted in the forum that he agrees, so I'm going to post this.

Let's end the signing freeze next weekend and start with the waiver claims so we can finally be ready to go. Season is in two weeks. I have a feeling not much will come from the next database update, and it will be out by next weekend anyway. Two weeks till opening day...yikes.

Agreed. Shawn, will we be doing it like last year, with everyone turning their lists in to you "offline"?

I think so. I'm going to look through the code before this weekend to remind myself of how the waivers system is setup, but I don't believe it would handle this very well.

Okay, it's March 24 and we haven't heard anything more from Dan on the two week update he promised on March 7. The other leagues I'm a part of have already begun or finished processing their waivers period. We pretty much have to have the waiver draft this weekend, whether or not there is anything else coming from him.

OK. I'm going to tell everybody to submit lists to Shawn by 5 PM EST Sunday and we'll take care of it over night and into Monday. We need to get moving on this, especially since we have to get the database setup and whatnot and the league is way too quiet and I don't want to get behind on this.
