Strange Request
So, I've shared this with Shawn and BP earlier today and am posting it here now. Bren PM'ed me asking if he could possibly switch to Milwaukee. I was pretty confused so I asked why, and he said this:
A variety of reasons. I'd have given Colorado a shot if I knew it was open (provided Nils gets first dibs on the Sox) because I kind of like the challenge pf heading there and I'm in Colorado now. I've been thinking about giving the NL a try for a while. Milwaukee has a certain synchronicity since the Braves moved from Boston to Milwaukee. Plus trying to keep up with JB is a little tiresome. At the same time, keeping the same team, especially the Sox, is really appealing so I'm not entirely sure.
Everybody's thoughts on this?

This is like when Gabe went to Florida cause the Central was too hard and gave up the Cubs. But Gabe won a title. Bren would be fighting for 4th.
Maybe in the future, we could do a winter league where NL teams played with AL rules and NL teams played with AL rules, to give everyone a little change of pace and show AL managers how real baseball is played

I agree with this reasoning and see no logical reason to move Bren. Especially since we didn't want to move Jason to Milwaukee...not like Bren hasn't had an opportunity to move in years past. I doubt he'll be heartbroken, anyway.Twins wrote:Since Bren cannot layout a cogent argument that Milwaukee is his favorite team--AND he lists as part of his rationale that the AL East is too hard--I'm inclined to refuse.
