Are we going to announce the draft start as (circa) November 29? I think we were pretty much in agreement that around then was a good start date and that we're not doing an untimed portion this year.

It's not a terrible start date except that I'm going to be out of town and probably won't have access to a computer, and since I'm holding 2 of the top 4 picks that might unduly slow down the draft. How about we announce it for December 1, the Monday after Thanksgiving, that gives people all the time they need to be done with the family stuff, and it's 1 month early.

Bren had been bitching to me (already) because I said we'd probably start it around there. We should probably just ask the league to make sure thats okay. He said too much family traveling, though I'm not sure who really travels Dec 1-19 or so. We'll have the draft queue anyway so I don't really see any issues here.

For one, we have the draft queue, for two, yeah, people don't travel Dec 1-19 any more than they travel Jan 1-19. Bren just likes it the way he had it.

I have no problem, however, with what Jake said, waiting until after that Thanksgiving weekend, since people undoubtedly are traveling those days, and it gets pretty hectic.

Everyone needs to get an iphone and we'd be good.

I agree. the iPhone should soon be a requirement to be in this league. And if you don't have AT&T I guess you're fucked.

I don't know if it was about a hosting switch or what, but last year I could get the league website on my blackberry (even made a draft pick from it), and about 6 months ago I lost the ability to do it.

Jake, hit me up some time you're free, this has happened for other members intermittently.

Also, 12/1 is fine by me.

Anything else that we need to address before the start of the season?

Looks like the 25-man measure will pass. For the specifics of it, we talked about rosters conforming from Opening Day through August 31. I guess we will just say that every team must have 25 players by the deadline to submit the first MPs (Saturday night, the 4th, this year?), and anyone who doesn't conform will have players added in alphabetical order off the top of the DB, with the exco cutting the corresponding number of players immediately?

Clean-up and posting of revised rules ... I believe Shawn had a working draft.

So it looks like we have absolutely nothing left to do until the season. And even then, it's the usual motions. Nice. This is easy.
