The place to come to talk about all things IBC related. Or not IBC related. Just keep it reasonably respectful.

Baby or Superbowl?

Ok, you're married and expecting your first child who is due on the day of the Superbowl, which your favorite team is playing in and you have tickets to. What do you do?

Sell the tickets. NFL sucks anyhow, and family is more important, especially the birth of your first child.

I don't think the issue was watching the game, but attending it.

I would go for the kid as well, though as I told a couple female classmates, I think they'd be surprised at how many guys would find it a tough call. Personally, I'd see what my wife thought about inducing a day or two early. I'm a 'have your cake and eat it too' type when it's possible.

Are you kidding? Induce labor five days before the game. With modern medicine this isn't even an issue.

Simple answer...planned pregnancy. If you're stupid enough not to count 9 months ahead before you knock a chick up, you deserve to miss the game.

I already know that my wife will not conceive during January, because I can't afford to be distracted during MLB postseason.
