I second you on the acting in Gladiator. The script, on the other hand...Rangers wrote:Gladiator was Crowes best in my mind. But 2 underrated ones are him in 3:10 to yuma and my personal favorite Mystery, Alaska. I don't know too many real hockey fans that liked that movie but I loved it. Great to watch with a chick
Can't believe I forgot about "One Flew Over the Cookoo's Nest".
Jack Nicholson's classic line: "Ya' know, doc, that Nurse Ratcher's something of a cunt, don't ya think?"
And I also forgot to include "A Clockwork Orange".
Shame on me.
And a few comedies to give additional Honorable Mentions:
Weird Science, Tommy Boy, any early Eddie Murphy films, and many more 80's comedies I'd like to recommend.

Mrs. Doubtfire has a special place in my heart for a number of reasons. First of all, my first celebrity sighting (at least the first I can remember) came at the theater when I saw that movie (it was my friend's 7th birthday party and it was also Joe Montana's kid's birthday and they were in the theater with us). Also, I've basically tracked my growing up by how many jokes I get in that movie, which is so full of adult jokes for a kid's movie that its ridiculous. Also the idea that the number one children's television star is a drag queen from San Francisco really cracks me up, maybe its just a Bay Area thing. It could have been worse, I nearly chose Death Race 2000 as #7
