1st Round Pick & For Contenders

Post by Yankees »

#3 pick in the draft right now...will almost assuredly hold or get worse. We're about 5 weeks from the ASB, so willing to open the doors for a conversation. I'm confident in my offense moving forward, would be looking for young starting pitching coming back.

I have pieces for contenders this year and next year as I progress on my build. Arms would be the priority...but would be interested in 2b prospects, too.

Zach Agnos - My best reliever in the sim this year (2.20 era) has also been lights out in real life (1.50 era, 0.83 whip).
Ian Anderson - 4.12 sim era & has pitched much better in AAA (and now back with the Braves)
Jonny DeLuca - Outstanding defender (SIM & real life) who smoked the ball in ST and then to start the year, will be back after the ASB
Michael Lorenzen - Back-end SIM and has been by far my best starter (3.98 era) while chewing up IP's (#7 in IBC IP's)
John Means - Positive post-TJ update the other day, throwing from 120 feet and on pace to be back in August
Victor Robles - Very good SIM and will be back in August, still young and dynamic
Landen Roupp - Excellent in SIM (3.09 sim era in swing role) for me and excellent in real life (3.18 era, 3.47 fip) in full-time starter role
Davis Schneider - Slow start in MLB & AAA, caught fire over the last month & called back up (1.571 ops since recall), 105 era+ & +8 def in SIM
Yerry de los Santos - 4.28 sim era & 3.94 actual era in sim, 1.74 era in AAA & 3.00 sim in MLB in real life

By the SIM it looks like I'm more and more cemented into the top 3 picks a really fun draft. Still open to dealing the pick.

Lorenzen had duel outstanding performances in the SIM (3.70 era, 90 ip's) and real life.

Roupp had another great MLB performance (3.29 era, 3.46 fip) and his SIM results (3.44 era in swing role) have been excellent, too.

Agnos has had a blip in real life, but still producing at the MLB level (2.70 era, 1.05 whip) and in the sim (2.41 era).

Luis Guerrero has also been lights out in the sim (2.84 era) and real life (0.93 era, 0.83 whip).

Davis Schneider already has 12 sim homers for me (and +8 def) and is up to 112 ops+ in real life after a hot streak in AAA & back up at MLB.

Looking to bolster my hitting prospects at 2b & of specifically.

Happy father's day to all the dad's in the group!

I've had a few conversations on my #1...but nothing I've got a commitment to yet.

Pulling some guys back after some trades, but still put Robles on the market. He finally got some good news (arm out of sling) and looks set for an August/September return. He's got a very good SIM, so will be a fantastic late pick-up for a contender in need of some OF help.

Roupp would be the last one. He's got a good SIM and has had a good year in real life (outside of a rough night against the Dodgers).

I'd include all 3 if it got me a good 3b or OF prospect/player.
