Sim Schedule - Finalized 5/5

Post by Cardinals »

The database will be out tomorrow later in the day.

We will aim to begin simming either Thursday or Friday of this week, giving a couple days for database cleanup, and a couple days for MPs to be sent in.

Expect the signing freeze to be lifted around midweek (target Tues or Weds).

I will have a full sim-catchup schedule posted tomorrow evening alongside the database. Since the database came much earlier than in recent years, we will break it out Mon-Thur and Fri-Sun sim. So four sim games one day, and three the following.

Excited to get the 2025 season started!

Will their be a waiver period for claims prior to the season starting? Last year I believe there was a mail in version of one chunk following the database being sent out. I think I am in trouble at C due to an injury.

Can we submit MPs now or do we have to wait for an updated MP with the waiver claims?

People have begun submitted but another database will be out tomorrow with transactions updated through 5/7. We will begin simming Saturday night. Two days to get MPs in.

So the MP that I spent a lot of time on did not get loaded?

2006-2008 Rockies: 242-244...498%

IBC Total: 1,385-1,540...474%

If you didn't see it loaded, it was not loaded, no. I would have rather everybody waited until the database were corrected before sending MPs.

I am not sure why anybody would spend lots of time on an MP when I am asking the league to point out the errors in the database. I will install the MPs before I sim. Which means I will have to extra work (adding/dropping Stuart again in your case), to make sure that all the time that you spent on one, singular MP is not wasted.

I just really wanted to get something in knowing that I had small windows in my schedule to work on it prior to the original start date. I have firsthand experience with how much effort goes into the entire SIM administration, especially the new season migration and startup process. I just missed the part in which we were not supposed to send MP's yet. Thank you so much for this thankless task.

It wasn't explicitly stated not to send MPs. It's fine. I will install anything that was sent as always. It is minimal effort in the grand scheme to reverse a couple transactions.

Understand people operate on their own schedule and need to get MPs in sooner. I, too, need to get the database out for the league sooner rather than later, and that means not loading MPs before I'm simming. Eager to get simming and get caught up.

Is there a way to acknowledge who got in MPs or send a database right before simming. I am always scared my e-mail didn't get to you and with multiple games simmed at a time, it is scary to think of getting off to a poor start due to an MP error that I might be able to catch. If not, I am not asking for more work. I also have run the sim and it is miserable and I thank you for taking this on JP.

No, not really. I will double check the email and make sure every MP sent is installed before simming.

Only 19 MPs are in. I will wait one more day. For the remainder, I will randomly farm players down to 26. Simming will occur around 10 pm et, regardless of straggling MPs.

I'm out of practice sending emails. I found my MP in 'drafts' instead of 'sent'. My apologies for being one of the 11 morons.
