Spenser Watkins signed a one-year deal with the TSG Hawks in the Chinese Professional Baseball League.

Watkins will head to Taiwan as a 32-year-old who has bounced around four MLB organizations. He spent 2023 in the Nationals system and registered a 4.56 ERA over 118 1/3 innings with Triple-A Rochester.

Elehuris Montero has signed a one-year contract with the Hiroshima Carp of the Nippon Professional Baseball league.

The deal will pay Montero $850,000 with a $400,00 signing bonus. Elehuris was outrighted off the Colorado roster after hitting just .228/.277/.387 in 2024 with the Rockies, and the 26-year-old will try and get his career back on the upswing with at least one year in Japan.

Adam Oller has signed with the Kia Tigers of the Korea Baseball Organization.

Oller will take his talents to the defending KBO champions after making eight starts last season for the Marlins where he finished with a serviceable 5.31 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and 36/22 K/BB ratio across 42 1/3 innings. The 30-year-old righty will aim to rebuild his value overseas in Korea, which has worked in the recent past for a laundry list of journeyman-type starters.

Cole Irvin signed a one-year, $1 million contract with the Doosan Bears of the Korea Baseball Organization.

Irvin will have a chance to revive his career in the KBO. The 30-year-old’s $1 million deal is the maximum allowed for a first-year foreign player in Korea. Irvin threw 111 innings in 2024 between the Orioles and Twins with a 5.11 ERA.

Mitch White has agreed to a one-year, $1 million contract with the SSG Lenders in the Korea Baseball Organization.

The 29-year-old right-hander was well-traveled during the 2024 season, seeing big league action with the Blue Jays, Brewers and Giants before he was sent outright to Triple-A in early June. He’ll attempt to rebuild his stock with a strong season overseas.

Multiple outlets report that Sandro Fabian has signed a three-year deal with the Hiroshima Toyo Carp in Japan.

Fabian, 26, made his MLB debut in 2024 with the Rangers, but was outrighted off the roster this fall. The outfielder reportedly received a three-year deal worth over $5 million. It’s a nice payday for a player that wasn’t likely to have a role on an MLB team in 2025, and a strong showing in Japan could see him return to the states in 2028.

Hatch will aim to continue rebuild his value overseas in Korea after spending last year in Japan with the Hiroshima Carp. The 30-year-old righty last appeared in the big leagues during the 2023 season when he made 18 relief appearances between the Blue Jays and Pirates.

Anderson signed in Korea back in April, and the 30-year-old will remain overseas for at least the 2025 campaign.

Denyi Reyes has re-signed with the Samsung Lions of the Korea Baseball Organization.

Reyes returns for another season overseas in Korea after finishing last year with a strong 3.81 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 114/30 K/BB ratio across 144 innings (26 starts) in his KBO debut. The 28-year-old righty made a career-high nine appearances (three starts) for the Mets during the 2023 season.

Lewin Diaz has re-signed with the Samsung Lions of the Korea Baseball Organization.

Diaz recorded some eye-popping numbers this past season, batting .348/.419/.610 with 26 round-trippers in 104 games between a stint in Korea and a pair of clubs in the independent Mexican League. The 28-year-old first baseman got into 112 games for the Marlins from 2020-2022, posting a lackluster .567 OPS with 13 homers during that span.

Yasiel Puig has signed a one-year, $1 million contract with the Kiwoom Heroes of the Korea Baseball Organization.

Puig returns to Korea, where he previously spent the 2022 season, following a stint last year in the independent Mexican League where he batted .314 with 18 homers in 64 contests. The 33-year-old outfielder hasn’t appeared in the majors since the 2019 season and at this juncture, it appears highly unlikely he’ll ever make it back to the big leagues. He was unquestionably one of the more electric players in the game last decade at his physical peak, but there’s a strong possibility his stateside career is over.

Kenny Rosenberg has signed a one-year, $700,000 contract with the Kiwoom Heroes of the Korea Baseball Organization.

Rosenberg takes his talents to Korea after being cut loose earlier this month by the Angels. The 29-year-old southpaw made 17 appearances (five starts) over the last three seasons for the Halos. He’ll aim to rebuild his long-term value overseas.

Yonny Chirinos has signed with the LG Twins of the Korea Baseball Organization.

Chirinos heads overseas for the 2025 campaign to attempt to rebuild his long-term value after recording a calamitous 6.30 ERA, 1.87 WHIP and 25/13 K/BB ratio over 30 innings (six starts) last season for the rebuilding Marlins. The 30-year-old righty, who has made 75 appearances (44 starts) in the big leagues since 2018, hasn’t missed a ton of bats throughout his career, but he’s always been a reliable ground-ball machine capable of gobbling up low-leverage innings.

Cave, who turns 32 next month, hit .251/.290/.396 in 346 plate appearances for the Rockies last season. He departs for Korea with a .232/.292/.400 line in 523 big-league games.

Ruben Cardenas has signed a one-year, $450,000 contract with the Kiwoom Heroes of the Korea Baseball Organization.

Cardenas headed overseas to Korea during the late stages of last season, getting into seven games for the Samsung Lions, after batting .277/.345/.550 with 20 homers and 10 steals in 75 contests at the Triple-A level between the Rays and Phillies organizations. The 27-year-old outfielder feels like the type of Quad-A slugger that might not break through in the majors, but could easily wind up excelling in Korea.

Hernandez, who is set to earn $1.3 million on his new deal, returns for another stint overseas in Korea after tossing 11 scoreless innings over two postseason series for the LG Twins after making 11 appearances (nine starts) to close out the KBO regular season. The 29-year-old righty made nine appearances (one start) last season between the Dodgers and Brewers before heading to Korea.

Austin Dean has re-signed with the LG Twins of the Korea Baseball Organization.

Dean, who is set to earn a whopping $1.7 million on his new deal, set a franchise record last season with a KBO-leading 132 RBI, batting .319 with 32 home runs and 12 steals across 604 plate appearances in 140 contests. The 31-year-old journeyman outfielder has carved out a successful career overseas in Korea over the past two years after getting into 126 contests between the Marlins, Cardinals and Giants from 2018-2022.

William Cuevas re-signed with the KT Wiz of the Korea Baseball Organization.

It’s a one-year, $1.5 million contract for the 34-year-old. Cuevas has been a solid pitcher in the KBO since joining in 2018, and he’ll spend at least one more year in Korea. At the age of 34, it’s plausible that he’ll remain overseas for the remainder of his career.

Matt Davidson re-signed with the NC Dinos of the Korea Baseball Organization to a one-year, $1.5 million contract with a mutual option for 2026.

That mutual option would be for $1.7 million. Davidson was sensational in his first year with the Dinos; hitting 306/.370/.633 in 131 games with 46 homers. The 33-year-old appears to have found his comfort zone, and he should be one of the most feared power hitters in the KBO again in 2025.

Jason Vosler has signed a deal with the Chunichi Dragons of the Japanese Central League.

Vosler, 31, crushed the ball in Triple-A last season, hitting .303/.371/.573 with 31 homers and 110 RBI for Tacoma, but he’s thus far come in at just .207/.274/.395 in 107 major league games with the Giants, Reds and Mariners. With the choice of taking a minor league contract with a chance to compete for a job in spring training or getting guaranteed money overseas, he’s opted for Japan. He could take over as Chunichi’s first baseman. That was a spot long held down by former White Sox player Dayan Viciedo, but at age 35, he lost his hold on the job last season.

Emmanuel Ramirez signed a one-year deal with the Seibu Lions of Nippon Professional Baseball in Japan.

Ramirez was released by the Blue Jays back in November, and it’s not surprising the 30-year-old is heading overseas. A strong season in the NPB could give him a wider market come 2026.

Riley Thompson signed a one-year deal with the DC Dinos of the Korea Baseball Organization.

It’s a one-year deal for $900,000 for Thompson. The 28-year-old has been in the Cubs’ organization since being drafted in the 11th round back in 2018, and in 2024 he forged a 5.95 ERA with a 99/44 K/BB over 107 1/3 innings.

Tyler Austin, Andre Jackson, Anthony Kay and Rowan Wick have all reupped with the Yokohama BayStars of Japan for the 2025 season.

Mike Ford, on the other hand, has become a free agent after struggling to establish himself in his first year in Japan. Austin, who came up with the Yankees in 2016, is well established as one of Japan’s best hitters after five seasons with Yokohama. In 2024, he led the Central League in average, just edging out Domingo Santana, and OPS, coming in at .316/.382/.601 in 445 plate appearances.

According to Jeeho Yoo of Yonhap News, Enmanuel De Jesus has signed with the KT Wiz of the Korea Baseball Organization.

The 27-year-old will earn $1 million in 2025 including a signing bonus of $200,000. De Jesus had been receiving interest from MLB teams this off-season, but ultimately decided that it was in his best interest to remain in Korea. Th right-hander went 13-11 with a 3.68 ERA and a 178/44 K/BB ratio over 171 1/3 innings with the Kiwoom Heroes in 2024.

Tayron Guerrero signed a one-year deal with the Chiba Lotte Marines of Nippon Professional Baseball.

The deal will pay the 6-foot-8 right-hander $600,000. Guerrero will head overseas after spending 2024 in the Angels’ organization. The 33-year-old could be back with an MLB club with a strong showing overseas, but he hasn’t pitched in the majors in five years.
