yesterday I got a new phone. (side note: aaron did you get my text with my new number?) at first this seems like a good thing and at first it was. but not anymore.

this phone is taking over my life. even this message is being written from the phone. I can't stop. I can't put it down. sometimes I feel like I wanna do other things. I feel like I should but I can't. the phone is winning.

is there a name for this disease? can anyone help? is there a pill I can take?

Did you get a Centro? if so, it may be time to start a support group... I got one in December, it's fantastic.
That said, you DID just get it. The fascination and awe WILL fade with time, mine did and I don't use it nearly as obsessively as I did when I first got it.

yeah its a centro and I can't put it down yet. I can't believe just a few years ago the only way to call me was at my house and the only way for me to get online or IM was over my dial up connection. now I have this thing.

is it a windows based OS? Or is it the palm OS? Palm is more open source, so you can find quite a few free programs on the net to download.

One program I had to have was a free beta streaming radio program, could listen to streaming internet audio.. Mundu Radio.. good shit. Can tune into any streaming audio.. you have to update your playlists/channels online and register on their site, but its great once you do.

Also.. game wise - bejewled2, and tradewars.

Get the core media player, i like it better than the onboard media players treo have. has good codecs..

Uhm, and ringtone applications, so you can get Mp3's to play as your ringtones.
Anyway, shitloads of free programs for your phone's at these sites.. typically you just have to register to get a trial of the program, or you can purchase. Up to you.

I wasn't able to find a lot of free hacked stuff tho..

The Centro is a Palm OS.
I hear ya Gabe, when Nils and I started up the IBC, we had dial-up, neither of us had cell phones (we didn't even have Long Distance on our home phone) and we had to sneak into my office to do the draft to make sure we had a reliable internet connection. Now I can email, IM, check sports scores and watch live streaming NFL network on my phone while I drop a deuce...
