Alright, I'm pissed. Since when the fuck is it ok to ignore the whole "Don't badger people to make their pick" rule JUST BECAUSE IT'S ME!? The draft starts January 4th and until that time NOBODY is supposed to be badgering GM's to make their picks. NOBODY! ESPECIALLY not ExCo Members!

If ANY Gm had so much as hinted at trying to rush another GM I'd have stepped in and said something, but not you guys, not for me.. No.... it all started with JP and now the rest of you are piling on.

You guys fucked up BIG time. I still have to go through BA's draft report cards. Something I wasn't going to do OVER CHRISTMAS. Once I finish that, I'll be ready to make my pick but I'm not making that pick until 1. The badgering stops and 2. I get a public apology from you guys for not only failing to stop the badgering, as you should have as ExCo members, but for encouraging it and starting it in the first place!

You may feel badgered but that is ON YOU. As I indicated to you before, you are well within your rights to take as long as you want ... and as I indicated to you before, every other IBC GM should have have the same rights as you and every other GM who got to make their first round pick prior to the traditional date of January 4th which is why I insisted the untimed portion of the draft this year be extended through the completion of the first round.

As for me - I am just relaxing, having an occasional laugh and waiting patiently for my next pick sometime next year.

The rule change on first round picks is ENTIRELY different from you not only allowing GM's to badger someone about making their pick but participating in it yourself.

Stating the obvious in a light hearted matter is not badgering. I simply quoted your public statement ... lighten up.

Doing nothing about stopping the badgering (to say nothing of 'light hearted' banter) is the same as encouraging it.

Oh, and you might want to get off your high horse long enough to notice that I haven't said ANYTHING publicly about disagreeing with the approved rules changes. Zero. I even went back and double checked to be sure. I don't like the change, I think it was flat out wrong, but the vote was done and it was implemented and I'll support it just as I supported draft pick trading in the first place because that's the rule and that's what the ExCo decided as a whole and that's what we said we were all going to do on rules changes.

January 4th is when the draft officially starts. If you want to implement a 2, 3, 4 or 5 day limit on first rounders at THAT point (if it's necessary), then that's reasonable. NOBODY should be timed before that point and ABSOLUTELY nobody should be badgering anybody about making draft picks before then. If it was any one of you getting badgered you KNOW I'd have your back. Obviously the same cannot be said of you.

you and JB sitting on picks has been pretty petty just to try to maximize value. it's pretty lame.

That's not BADGERING you to make a pick. It's a matter of fact. I could say the sky is blue, would I be harping on the sky? I am NOT the first person to start harping on this. I'm the first person to say something after about half the league bitches to me everyday asking me when you're going to pick. It is pretty lame to just sit on the pick. If you want to, GO RIGHT AHEAD. It's still lame. Explain to me how that's badgering?

That's still badgering JP. You're a good kid, but you see things in very black and white, with no degree of subtlety and that's not the way life works. You didn't say "Hurry up and pick" but the comment is clearly a shot at me, which makes it badgering and is NOT the kind of commentary ExCo members should be making at each other particularly when GM's aren't supposed to be badgering each other about picking.

I can't help it if you feel badgered ... from what I have seen on the boards these comments are tame compared to some I have seen in the past.

You take as long as you feel you need to ... you are within your rights to do so and I have not said anything within the ExCo or publicly to indicate that you are not within your rights to do so.

Meanwhile I am going to go talk to my developmentally challenged 18 year old daughter as she will likely make a lot more sense and generally doesn't act as sorry for herself as you are today.

I guess it's a shot at you, but it's also a shot at JB. Either way, it's the reason for changing the rules. If you want to take your time, FINE. I'm not really caring. I think it's lame, but JB did it too. If that's badgering you, then come on now. Lets not be THAT sensitive. If you want to do that, fine. But if you're going to take your sweet ass time, then the people on the back half of the first round should have that luxury. Is that so hard to understand? I don't care who takes their time, but since you and JB have taken about a combined 10-11 days for a trio of picks, it's only fair to let the other members of the league to be able to do the same.

Is that badgering or the reason that we're changing the rule?

I don't give a shit about taking a shot from you guys. i expect to argue with you guys, it's gonna happen when we argue about setting rules and that's not what really pissed me off. Fuck JP, you and i argue about shit all the time.

But I would expect you to have my back to the league in general and when someone like Nick or that douchebag Dave (who can barely hold his junk to piss in the proverbial pot as far as baseball goes) starts badgering me (or anyone) to pick when they're not supposed to, I'd expect you to at least do your jobs. I certainly wouldn't expect to have to bitch you all out to get it done.
