Outstanding! Have fun - it should be hard not to.
You got pick #33 ... at the breakneck pace we are drafting at I figure your pick should come up about January 19th or so ... Particularly since the current pick (#18 ) will apparently not be made until "the holidays are over and [Bren has] finished [his] player evaluations". I am hopeful this referenced holiday is New Years Day rather then Martin Luther King, Jr. Day or Groundhog Day or whatever. And then we have the potential log jam at pick #26 ...
Shoot - maybe the 19th is overly optimistic. At any rate - have fun and take care.

Ya Jim, I saw that quote and was laughing my ass off! "Player evaluations", at the end of December, about an #18 pick, nice GM, no wonder he has always been against draft pick trading!

I still say its gonna be fatties and uglies and you'll be disappointed. But remember, what happens in international waters, stays in international waters, so you can bang them and it won't count

Yep, just like vespas, fun to ride until your friends catch you on one.
Have a great trip JP. Just hope you don't end up on the ship and realize it is one of those "alternative lifestyle" cruises in the Carribean.

Well, if he comes back hitting on Aaron (whom I suspect he's long harbored a secret crush on) then we'll know for sure.
Clarification - certainly not a friggin' apology.

This is not an apology because I got nothing to apologize for but
I will state for the record that Bren has the right to take as long as he wants to make a pick during the untimed portion of the draft - just as every other IBC GM has had and will have. That is why it was/is so important for me as a member of ExCo to extend the untimed portion through the end of the 1st round. It was/is important that all GMs be treated relatively fairly equal in regards to their rights relative to their respective 1st round picks.
I personally remain hopeful that the referenced holiday is New Years Day - but then earlier I was hopeful that the referenced holiday was Christmas so what the hell do I know.

Are you really going out of the country?
Doesn't the US own all of those beach fronts?

Doesn't matter what Americans OWN, you can own property in Canada, it doesn't stop it from being Canadian.

I believe he meant that those particular islands were US territories. Apparently not, I think the St. islands are still British, and I don't know if anyone owns Barbados these days.

Jeez...everyone is tense after the holiday.
My statement was dripping with sarcasm...
Sip some egg nog punch and loosen up.

Pretty sure it's just Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands (St Thomas, St Croix, St John). I think you still need a passport to go there though.

Since 9/11, in an effort to enhance security and efficiency at U.S. borders, the U.S. government is now enforcing new passport requirements for all travelers entering or re-entering the United States from Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Bermuda. Travel between the U.S. and U.S. territories (including Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands) has not yet been affected.

St. Thomas and St. Martin are Dutch, at least, they were the main Dutch colonies in the Lesser Antillies, with Curacao being their crown jewel colony in the New World. Barbados was/is British and I'm fairly sure Dominica is still ruled from London. Tortola I've never heard of, Tortuga is of the north coast of Haiti, but this cruise is nowhere near that

My vacation is fairly popular I can see. I will come back with information about each stop as well as pictures from each destination. I will also keep a chronicle every day and post when I return, or if I get internet access along the trip, I will check in on all you amigo's.... lol! it'll be fun!

I couldn't agree more, other than "everyone is tense after the holiday". This shit talking has gone on for a few weeks, baseball/IBC and non-baseball/IBC related. Never seen anything like it. Not in any roto, fantasy or SIM league in any sport I've been in. Never even seen this type of stuff between employees at work.
Not that I don't have the same passion or opinions as the next guy regarding all the bitching that's been going on here, but I guess this "newbie" prefers to just weigh in on league-related stuff.
But hey, everything has been very entertaining, so keep it coming! Anything to add to a dull day!

Checking in. About 200 miles off of Miami coast right now. Having a decent time, once the weather is better (which it is soon) it will be good. Been stuck in the ship for a few days now. It's about 80 but raining right now. Spent a good hour or two outside this morning getting my tan on.
Anyway, Glad to see I probably won't even miss a pick!!!

St. Maarten is half French half Dutch.
