The Lotte Marines located in the eastern part of Tokyo said Wednesday they have acquired right-hander Winston Abreu, who has played in the major leagues for two seasons.

Lotte and Abreu have agreed on a one-year, 46 million yen ($406,000) contract. The 30-year-old Dominican has an 0-1 record in 33 games in his major league stints with the Baltimore Orioles and Washington Nationals
