so we were supposed to go to ale house, but the weather sucks and no one wants to drive in it. instead i will be eating pizza hut and watching the game from the comfort of my chair. so, if anyone would like to join me in rooting against the pats you can catch me on AIM (Matchboxgabe) or here in this thread.

also, notice a lot of guys on the boards the last two days. i'm guessing because of the draft. all of you guys should deal me stuff.

Being a lonely Jets & Eagles fan...I hope the Pats lose so I can officially turn off football for the year and follow hockey.

Dear Steelers,

You're going to have to cover Randy Moss. I know it's inconvienent. I'm sure you have better things to do. Still, I think it would suit both you and I best if you just went ahead and at least attempted to cover him.

Just a suggestion,
Gabe

Dear Steelers,
Go ahead and cover Moss, he'll still make plays. Double Team him. That will leave Welker open and Moss will still catch passes. Triple team him and you'll leave even more holes in your offense... and Moss will still find his way to the endzone, soaring over your heads. He runs faster and jumps higher than anyone on your team... so maybe you shouldn't even bother.
Oh yeah, you've already tried that.
Thanks for the effort anyhow.

I'm really anxious to see 14-0 vs. 0-14, and that 0-14 team is the Dolphins who always give New England trouble. I'm really excited for the columnists who remember that and start picking Miami.

The Dolphins give the Pats trouble IN Miami. Patriots are at home...they'll win easily. I cant beleive we're having this discussion about the Dolphins beating the Patriots. You've all lost your minds.

If the Dolphins stay within 40 points I'll consider it a win for Miami. That's about the best they can hope for. Take it from someone in South Fla, who unfortunately has seen just about every one of those losses. This team is a mess. An absolute mess.

It started with that embarrassment of a draft and just hasn't ended since then. If they don't fire Cam Cameron, it never will.

I believe Jake was mocking those columnists. Now, if it had been Milwaukee Jake, then I might have thought he was serious.

Way too many multiple named people in this league, 3 Bretts, 2 Jakes, 2 Pats, 2 Johns, 2 Shawns, ricockulous.

Just call everybody by their team name and problem solved.

Until the invariable 3 or 4 GMs switch teams next offseason anyway.

Pats are -27 this week, what do you think the spreads going to be vs the dolphins -40?!??

I think theyll be right around the same ballpark. The Jets are a better team than the Dolphins, but I think because of the Spygate issue with the Jets, -27 just isnt enough for this week. If any week should have a -40 its this week.

The spread would be more but it is expected that the weather will hold down the Pats' scoring. They will likely have to actually run a tad this Sunday.

Nah against the Jets they'll just take every play out of the playbook except bomb to Moss, and they'll still probably score 42.
