Big gain for WVU on a long pass to Jallah (though it sounds like Jawa).
No luck on the Chipotle so we (by 'we' I mean our host, Andy) are starting up the grill and making some hotdogs and burgers.
Another WVU touchdown. white is killing the 'Cats with his legs. They've contained Slaton better since the first drive, but White has just been monstrous. Damn you White!
And ANOTHER stupid penalty... the bozo steps on you.. don't kick him! yeah, you end up with offsetting penalties but if you hadn't kicked it would have been a penalty on the Mountaineers.
Alright... so, it's halftime... the UC fans in attendance here are optimistic on the potential for a comeback though, when pressed, no one has been able to offer a great reason why. UC has actually played a pretty penalty free half of football (by UC's standards), the Defense has contained the Mounts about as well as could have been expected... we'll just have to hope that UC adjusts better over halftime than West Virginia has.
It's just been observed that this game was our last opportunity to go to a UC football game at home before we graduate. From that perspective, it's disappointing to not be there... but considering what a PITA it is to find seats and what a nightmare walking around the concourses is (honestly worse than anything I've experienced anywhere ever) I'm actually not sweating it too much. Plus, I plan on going to the Fiesta Bowl to see UC...
Brilliant observation...
"Well he got five, he only needed 3 for the first down so he got two past the stick.."
Clearly sir, you were a math major at some point...
There's nothing I enjoy more than losing games in the inferior ACC (basketball or football, doesn't matter). Seriously, great move. All the extra travel days, and total lack of geographic rivals were totally worth it.

Good job by the D forcing West Virginia to punt on their first possession of the half. They gave up some yards but didn't give up any points.
Ok, so maybe I'm stating the obvious, but I don't care. I'm enjoying the game and hell, if stating the obvious is good enough for ESPN, then it's good enough for a blog viewed by no more than 30 people.
UC has a real nice drive going on now. A little tough time getting the drive going at first, but it's been proceeding nicely...
And Mauk fumbles the ball AGAIN!
I can't even describe how disgusted I am about that turnover... just... ugh... I almost threw my laptop at the tv when it happened. That would have been a bad thing on a number of levels.
Big stop by UC on fourth down. I think that leaves UC with their best field position to start a drive at their own 34. Seeing White barking at his receiver was pretty satisfying and got a lot of jeers here at Clemmerhaus.
BTW... great burgers... Andy insists he has a secret ingredient which he got from his dad. No idea what it is but as logn as it's not a bodily fluid, I don't care cuz these are some damn good burgers.
Best thing UC can hope to do now is score to keep it close for Rankings sake. Though the way the offense has played most of the night, that's not really a realistic hope.
Here's the best part... the tease. UC is down on the 1 with a first down and they'll probably score... and get close enough to get me excited...
And there's the TD... going for the 2pt conversion... and it's no good.
