Tanking Announcement

Should any GM display a pattern of behavior that shows an attempt to lose games for any reason, the ExCo has the discretion to bar that GM from the next draft.
All GMs should at all times be doing their best to win with the roster they have.

Examples of this would include submitting sub-standard lineups which leave superior players inactive, deliberately inserting poor players into key situations, deliberate negligence or other behaviours.
Consistent failure to address the DL may also be considered (i.e. playing players while injured in order to force them to be benched for additional time).

No Fucking Shit.

(and yes, I realize that it is I who says this--how's that for irony?)

Question: the last game of the year I was playing Shawn online (my only online series of the year) and I batted Homer Bailey cleanup for fun. Would this have been taken as tanking? Does this rule eliminate fun in the last couple games of the year? (Btw, he went 1-2 in that game and gave up 2 runs in 5 innings)

No, because it's not a pattern of behavior. However, if you batted your pitchers cleanup from the time you were eliminated until the end of the season, it would be.
