Interesting tweets regarding free agency.

There are two issues with MLB free agency, and both are mutually exclusive. Yes, players should be receiving higher % of revenue. That said, they bargained a terrible deal and created natural constraints that have allowed for FA correction.

They’ve handcuffed the richest teams, made it a risky decision for mid and small markets to sign compensatory FA, and allowed caps on all amateur spending. Not hiring an actual labor attorney after Weiner is why MLBPA is where they are at. Not the owners.
