Rays are up. Who's picking for them?

They get the next unselected player from the actual draft... Ian Anderson I believe

That answers half of it. Can someone with admin make the pick or do we have to wait on Shawn?

Was anyone else sure Jim was going to take Collins?

Sometimes you really want to take a player like Collins - but you know that #4 is just too high and it's hard to trade down 4-5 spots where taking him seems more appropriate.

Who thought JB would take Rutherford? And then I'd take Senzel?
Thank JB for fucking everything up.
Also.. I'm never going to get used to all these team moves.. Ffs.. I still think Nils is the Giants half the time, Dan is still the Marlins, etc. Shit, I've even tried to log in to the site as the Reds a couple of times. I'm getting fucking old.

I was locked in on Groome. I thought JB traded up to grab his homeboy so I figured it would be Maitan, Rutherford, Senzel ... when that didn't work out I had to decide between the next three OFs who were taken as I felt they were clearly the next best 3 players available.

Didn't think JB would take Groome, but also didn't think he'd go Rutherford. Nate lucked out getting Groome. Solid pick. Also was shocked Jim didn't go Collins.

No way I would take Groome!
Wanted Rutherford, but #2 overall was too early in my opinion. Kind of surprised Shawn didn't take Rutherford.
For me the pick was always going to be Senzel at #2

At some point I realized it was between Ray and Puk at number 7. Like Ray a little more but I'm fine with Puk as I need SP depth. Would have taken Rutherford if Ray and Puk were both off the table - with an outside interest in Collins so I can trade him to Jim at some point.

It was tough to pass on Pint but yes I'm happy with my pick.

When is somebody gonna take Jeter? (are there even 5 people in the league anymore who will get that?)

This is the first time in 15 years that I've picked a high school pitcher. Hopefully he's not another Chris Gruler. Time to hope his arm doesn't fall off.

Nice pick by BP there, I was hoping Morejon would fall to me.

I really struggled over Quantrill vs Morejon. Everyone seems to think that Quantrill looked great. I was just happy that either was there, though.

I'm glad I wasn't in a spot to take Quantrill cause I always get suckered in on the Stanford guys, but the good news for Cal is that Marquess didn't get a chance to overuse him last year since he already had the TJ. I hope it works out for him!

LOL.. definitely felt longer. But lets see.. 99 had that really exciting young team with Pokey Reese.. almost made it to the playoffs. 2000 we got Griffey.. all should have been awesome.. then we were told wait until 2003 for GAB - they would spend. Then they didn't. Then they drafted Gruler over guys like Kazmir. Then Sowers.. then.. it is just a black hole of shit until a decade later. lol.

Votto came out of that draft as well I believe.
*edit
So I just looked up Gruler on FB and it said he's going to make his pro boxing debut 2/25 in Phoenix.

Didn't Andrew take Gruler #1 in our very first draft?
