College football. Snooooore. Same 2 teams every year. Villanova just won the NCAA tourney and that playoff has 68 teams bro. 68. And it really starts at the opening game of the conference tourney for most of the 300+ teams in the country. Almost everyone is in. Only rule is don't lose. So. Much. Better.

Disagree. Did you watch at all yesterday? 2, 3, and 4 all lost. 1st time thats happened in 30 years.
Playoff system does need work though.
And what are the same 2 teams?
Go Buckeyes!

Alabama and OSU win or play in the championship game every year. Now an additional small handful of teams have been added to the original small handful of teams with programs dubbed worthy of even being in the picture. Upsets are upsets in college football because the polls tell us they are upsets, but they can't tell shit. Sample size will always be too small. The only true upsets are when bama or osu lose despite being perennially stocked with a hugely disproportionate share of NFL talent and being better coached. Maybe Michigan has joined them. Maybe.

OSU is a top team nearly every year since the Tressel era, but they do not play in the championship game every year - thats not even remotely true.

Alabama or OSU has been involved in 7 of the last 10 title games:
2015 Alabama
2014 OSU (Alabama also made playoffs)
2012 Alabama (OSU undef. but ineligible)
2011 Alabama
2009 Alabama
2007 OSU
2006 OSU
The only teams that can win are those that are perennially among the best 3 in their conference. Bama, Auburn, LSU, Florida, OSU, Michigan, MSU, Texas, Oklahoma, Oregon, USC, Stanford, FSU, Clemson, Miami. That's 15 teams. At best, the list is 20 deep with teams that have a chance. That's fewer teams than the polls rank every week. Atrocious. Zero competitive balance. Zero chance for 90% of the teams playing to win the big prize. That's boring to me.
