Looking at maybe making some minor deals for fun, if anyone is interested. I've got a decent amount of depth from which to deal and am looking to pick up a few prospects.
Infield:
Jed Lowrie .247/.315/.384 9 HR 44 RBI 1 SB 1.1 WAR
Martin Prado .280/.326/.391 9 HR 61 RBI 3 SB 2.6 WAR
Lowrie is looking like a primary SS backup with versatility at every infield position, though I do have Alberto who can play the position in a pinch. Prado is my primary 3B backup to Turner, so he'd be more expensive. The surprisingly nice projection/high average make him available but pricier. He should also qualify in LF. Would consider packaging he and Turner for a 3B upgrade.
Outfield:
Melky Cabrera .281/.325/.403 11 HR 64 RBI 5 SB 1.0 WAR
Billy Burns .265/.320/.342 3 HR 41 RBI 35 SB 2.0 WAR
I may end up starting Melky due to his solid average projection and switch hitting abilities, but Burns is the No. 1 backup in LF and CF to Pollock. With Margot and Prado on the bench, one of the two above could be moved. With Melky, you get a switch hitter with a good arm, some power and good average. With Burns, it's range, CF defense and speed.
Starting pitching:
Tanner Roark 3.69 ERA 3.86 FIP 141.1 IP 96K 33 BB 105 ERA+ 2.1 WAR
Rich Hill 4.29 ERA 4.25 FIP 84 IP 81K 44 BB 90 ERA+ 0.8 WAR
Roark overachieved in ZIPSworld with a very nice 3.69 ERA and 2.1 WAR projection over only 141 IP. He was a stud last year for me (2.86 ERA over 182 IP) and looks like a good #4 starter. Hill was a bit of a gamble..coming off a sub 3.50 ERA projection last year and a ridiculous small sample size starting for Boston plus a move to Oakland, I had hoped for better. But, the 0.8 WAR is deceiving as it's only over 81 innings. Over a full season, he's pushing 2 WAR as a lefty reliever. Both these guys should have SP/RP durability.
Relief pitching:
Mike Broadway 3.19 ERA 3.23 FIP 42.1 IP 44K 12 BB 111 ERA+
Javier Lopez 3.45 ERA 3.48 FIP 31.1 IP 23K 13 BB 102 ERA+
Both of these guys could find their way into an IBC bullpen. For Broadway, he was just a pickup for depth due to a very good projection that will be usable if necessary. He could prompt me to move a guy like Ramirez or Hunter if the right deal came in. Lopez has been around forever and still gets guys out. A 1.60 ERA last year is evidence he can still bring it. With Cecil as a setup guy and Rivero as my main loogy, I could move Lopez, but lefty RP isn't quite as deep as righty RP at the moment.
Outside of an upgrade at catcher, I'm mostly looking at prospects or prospect upgrades.
