Jeez, I expected to have to pick as soon as I woke up, now I'm wondering if I'll pick before I go to bed.

It's this, work on the house, or go see Star Wars for a fourth time. This is winning for now.
Steve knows the draft starts today and that he has the third pick, right?

Swanson was the most obvious and inevitable pick since Bryant in '13 though, IMO.

Bregman is the peanut butter on white bread of 2015 shortstop prospects. You can live on it, and it's certainly not bad, but you're unlikely to be excited by it day after day.

Says the guy who made us wait nearly 24 hours last year if I'm not mistaken?

11 hours actually, and we got through 6 picks that day. Though my lag was recovery from NYE, not trying to figure out who to draft.

I stand corrected.. Maybe it was Gabe? Idk. I remember waiting.. A lot.. To get to a mid round pick.

Anyway.. Yay draft! About time.

Predictable so far, the next pick does seem rather obvious as well.

Little surprised a team with that many 30+ yo key pieces didn't go Maeda(117+, 3.8 WAR)

I don't understand the above comment - who is the team with a lot of 30+ year olds that didn't draft Maeda? All teams picking 1-6 are rebuilding.

Houston: Hamels, Rollins, Jones, Lind, just traded for Jimenez, Estrada, Wright, Wainwright, etc.

It doesn't look like the Astros are rebuilding having just traded pick 7, Ackley, & Phelps for David Wright and Ubaldo Jimenez.

Wow - the team that has won the IBC 3 of the last 4 years has 2 of the top 12 picks and is able to draft players who will contribute immediately! Nothing illegal and no hard feelings ... just noting that is impressive.

Me too, though I'm less optimistic about either guy in the long run than JP is.

Someone's gotta take the WC, Ken. Good news: you've still got Aaron in your division ;)

Thanks, had to re-tool somehow. Small first step at least.

I'd like to publicly thank you, Jared, for sparing me the potential agony of mulling over Aiken.
