The Superbowl
The Superbowl
The Superbowl deserves its own thread, so here we go...
Seattle v. New England
Some might argue this is the matchup that was expected from the start of the playoffs, it would certainly be difficult to argue these aren't the two best teams in the NFL. The matchup that will get the most attention is going to be NE's offense versus Seattle's D, but personally, I think this game is going to be decided by the NE defense and the Seattle offense. NE has a much better defense than anyone else that Seattle has faced in the playoffs, and BB makes them incredibly difficult to scheme against with his constant wrinkles. Indy has a much better offense (especially at QB) than Seattle, and Wilson is by far the worst of the QBs (excepting Romo) to have made it to the divisional round, much less the conference championship round. That D was an insanely stupid Wilfork penalty away from throwing a shutout against one of the top offenses in the NFL.
Pats over Seahawks in a close one. Only because every Brady/Belichick Superbowl is close.

Hawks. As my man Dorman said the other day and I may be paraphrasing a bit here, but.
"Russel Wilson could dive into a pool full of dicks and come up with a tit in his mouth.."
Wilson isn't the best QB I've ever seen. But god damned it if he doesn't just find a way to win.
That said, I do agree that its going to be more a Seattles offense vs NE defense type of game. I just happen to think Wilson finds a way..
Like always.

Not likely. Carroll was a loser when he left, he seemed like that nice guy trhat was more suited to coaching your kid's flag football team, he wasn't learning anything in NE. It's one thing to put together a good team for a couple years. It's another to put together a 15 year long dynasty. He sure as shit wasn't going to win 3 SB's.Twins wrote:As a guy with no dog in the fight, I'd just be tickled by the collective aneurysm that would happen amongst Patriot fans should Pete Carroll beat the sainted Belichick
I can't speak for anyone else, but I rather liked Carroll, right up to that point where he screwed over USC.
I'm going to get real in depth with my prediction to show you guys how much of a genius I am. Seahawks 27 Pats 20. I don't see Pats doing much on the ground, which leads to a passing game plan from Pats. I think Gronk scores but doesn't have a monster game they need. Maybe a 5-75-1 line. LaFell gets skunked. Edelman catches around 8 balls, but won't break off the long one. I'll pick Vereen for the other TD on pass play much like the one Beast Mode almost pulled off the other day. Lynch/Russ run for over 150 yards combined with a couple touchdowns. Seattle gets the 3rd TD from turnover or return. There it is, now you guys don't even have to watch.

I picked the Seahawks over the Broncos in my work pool playoff bracket before the playoffs started. I still win it if the Seahawks take it home again. I'll be a Seahawks fan for another day it appears.
