With the benefit of hindsight, how would you guys see the top 5 picks of our IBC draft go if it were re-held today? Obviously Abreu jumps into top 5. Tanaka, Gray, Bryant all had strong years. Who would go #1? Still Bryant based on age?

Gotta think Mark Appel goes #1 overall. Beast.

May have gone Tanaka for #1 had he not had any elbow issues. Abreu could make a strong case for #1 if I wasn't so worried about that inflated BABIP.

Without doing much research I'd go:
Bryant, Abreu, Tanaka, Gray, Appel

I think I agree with Stephen, though I'd debate about Abreu vs. Bryant. Either way, it was a weird draft, there hasn't been a Jason Heyward like mid-first rounder who exploded and made everyone else look bad (like Wacha and Stroman in 2012 or Springer and Gray in 2011). Surprised Appel would still rank in a top 5 but can't come up with a replacement.

I'm putting Abreu #1, because 1) I'm biased, 2) Did I mention that I'm biased?, and 3) He's doing it at the MLB level.

Fully recognizing it is an easy argument to put Bryant #1 due to position value and age.

1) Abreu
2) Bryant
3) Tanaka
4) Gray
5) Appel

I never could figure out why the Astros started Appel in Lancaster. Were they just trying to see how mentally tough he was??? That is the worst stadium (launching pad environment) and league in the minors for a pitcher to try and pitch in. I'm still not sure on Appel's upside, but I think he settled down a bit after moving up to a more normal environment in AA.

Would agree with the above, but I think the more interesting question would be the next 5 guys since the only one of those that fell was Abreu...probably should have taken him over Trey Ball :( .
