Since John is the third victim I think it needs to be addressed here that Despaigne is not eligible to be signed. JP told me when I claimed him and unfortunately I couldn't cancel the transaction.

Nick asked me to cancel his waiver claim. I didn't get around to it in time. I asked Jim if Nick could have Shoemaker back, and he agreed. Hence the forced transactions. Don't claim Shoemaker.
