Everything is bigger in Texas

Including the win streaks. I go down to Mexico for a week while my Orioles went to Texas and went 7-0 against the two teams down there including 3 straight shutouts. All this occuring not long after losing Jose Fernandez and Andrew Cashner (who is back this week). Since the last time either of those guys have made a start, the Orioles have been 15-7.

Hopefully the bats can soon wake up and make up for the likely regression to be seen from Carlos Carrasco who went 3-0 with a 0.86 ERA since Cashner went down (I've been impressed enough with Carrasco's peripherals over the 3 game stretch that I'm moving Petit back to the bullpen instead). Since joining the O's, Crush Davis has hit .203/.288/.356, Jason Heyward has hit .184/.250/.330 and Brad Miller has hit .192/.273/.283.

Anyway, suddenly the O's are legit WC contenders for the first time in God knows how long.

I think Gudim in 2008 or 2009 won ~100 in Baltimore but didn't make the playoffs.

It was Jason in '08, he won 103 games, good enough to be 2 games out of the wild card.

Looks like the Jays were the ALWC in 2007 and the message board records don't go back further than that. Have the O's ever been to the playoffs?

Not that I'm aware of. Dan left so he could take over the NL East and never made them. Jason just missed and ended up in KC

I couldn't take the heat, so I got out of Baltimore.
