Bochy really pulled Lincecum out of a no-hitter today. That guy only has a few good starts left, let him maximize when he's got it please! I was in New York when Lincecum threw the last one, and my brother and I bailed from my cousin's 21st birthday party to watch the end of it at Finnerty's (the East Village Bay Area bar, check it out if you're ever in NY during a niners game). I was all set to cancel my 6pm meeting to watch Lincecum try to finish it off (so what if it would have taken him 150 pitches at the rate he was going?), and in comes Mr. 3 True Outcomes Brandon Hicks to pinch hit in the 5th inning? BOOOOOOOOOO!

Apparently he had a blister on his finger, but man, 96 pitches through 5 innings? Would have taken a ton of pitches to get there.

I am a giants fan...with that said, I hate Timmy. There was no way he would have any semblance of a reasonable pitch count if he went 9 innings. The guy averages like 19 pitches per inning so that is likely 170 pitches, no one is going to have that leash these days. And given what happened the last time he through that no hitter, he was absolutely trash in his next start which was over a week later.

Helps when you face the worst MLB lineup in 100 years.

That's Jim Edmonds (played for the Reds) and Craig Paquette circa 2000-2001, long before Matt Holliday became a Cardinal. However, it is funny, so you get partial credit.
