Just an amazing run. Took out a 10, 2, 3, 4, overall 1 and hottest 8 to win it all. So happy for Coach Ollie. It's officially baseball season.

As someone that lives where I do, I'm very happy that UConn won. I couldn't have put up with UK fans for the next year. They're unbearable enough as is, though I hope the rumors are true and Calipari leaves for the Lakers, because he only leaves a place when sanctions are about to hit.
That being said, I want someone to explain to the players that were barking about being banned last year as to why they were banned. A little thing called classes, and the fact they never went to them. If you can't reach the bare minimum standards the NCAA makes you meet (which is why teams like UK have all those white walk-ons at the end of the bench), then you are a farce. That's why 2011 was so disappointing, Butler was what was right about college basketball, hell the year before players went to class the day of the title game against Duke. Jim Calhoun had health problems and had to retire my ass, he knew the hammer was about to come down. Kemba Walker said he'd read one book his entire life. How is he academically eligible? That's just really bothered me for a while. Not trying to rain on y'alls parade, I was rooting for you as the lesser of 2 evils

Calhoun has had cancer and other health ailments over the years so to say he was full of it is ridiculous.
I'm sure he retired knowing that things were getting bad, but he also retired so Ollie could take over without a full offseason national search. But trying to take away from this championship because of past academic issues is pretty dumb. I'm sure every other program has extremely high academic standards, never has kids missing class or tutors who help.

It's a systemic problem across basketball but you know it's bad when the NCAA has to step in and actually issue a post-season ban (which led to the ridiculous chip on the shoulder about last year's ban--come on guys, you did that to yourselves).
And, on a lighter note, I don't think there are any English monarchs running around helping out NCAA basketball teams. Just a hunch.

No celebration of the women's title? An even more dynastic dynasty? Sexist pigs!

Worthy of a Facebook post. Not sexist. Completely expected. The women's program dominates. Them winning by 20 really isn't a surprise. The men even getting to the Final Four was amazing. Knocking off the #1 overall, a 2, 3, 4 and Kentucky was a surprise.
