2011 Draft

#4 - Trevor Bauer
This one hurts in about 100 ways. I had the #1 overall pick and didn't want anything to do with Darvish because of Dice-K. I traded Rasmus/#1 to JP for Desmond Jennings (who I thought would be a star) and #4. I targeted Bauer and got my guy. Here are the reasons why this sucks:
1. Could've taken Bundy @ #1
2. Could've taken Cole @ #1 or #4
3. Could've taken Darvish
4. JP took Rasmus and another 1st round pick and got Mike Trout (SO I COULD'VE TRADED RASMUS AND #1 FOR TROUT (!!@O!&#!&#_!#)
Bauer really sucks.
After that pick my strategy was to take projectable high schoolers. High althletic, play premium poisitions, good raw power. I missed BADLY on 4 of 6 picks.
#73 - Granden Goetzmann
BUST
#74 - Tyler Greene
HUGE BUST
#98 - Tyler Marlette
Looks like an OK prospect. Good bat, plays premium position. But I dropped him in 2012.
#128 - Jeff Ames
Solid pitching prospect, though most believe he will be a late inning reliever due to lack of a third pitch. Young enough to beat that projection, but who knows. Went with Weickel to OAK for Maurer.
#158 - Mitch Walding
