Nominate any guys for the Cy Young, MVP and Rookie of the Year awards in each league in this thread. I'll put polls up in a couple of weeks

AL Cy Young: Jeremy Hellickson. 11-11 2.84 ERA 31 GS 1 SO 203 IP 152K 60 BB. Solid starter all season. Held lefties to a .192 BAA and righties to .229. ERA ranked first in the AL

AL MVP: Chris Carter. Guy was ridiculously nuts, even though Jim didn't make the playoffs. Other than Pat Bishop's MVP 3B no one has ever heard of (Zach Lutz), this guy was the most above his projection: .282/.376/.572 42 HR 125 RBI 21 SB. He has to be in the conversation, at least. (projected .237/.322). Thanks for that trade, Z.

I'll nominate my man Giancarlo Stanton, 3rd in the AL in HR and OPS, led the league in SLG despite missing a month .268/.343/.579 37 HR 86 RBI in 451 AB. We'll nominate Buster too for general leadership awesomeness and getting on base ness

For the Cy Young from the A's I'm nominating McCarthy, who insanely didn't walk anyone (just 25 BB in 158 innings) and would have been third in the league in ERA if he qualified (and he was qualified last week so I guess I cost him not giving him a last start). That being said, the AL Cy is definitely CC.

For ROY I'm nominating TJ House, 13-6 114 Ks to 53 BB in 173 innings, .685 OPS against. Go A's

NL MVP - Mark Trumbo - Reds - .307, 43 HR's, 138 RBI also had 38 doubles, 7 triples, and scored 96 runs. The Reds would not even have sniffed a playoff spot without his 138 runs batted in.

This might be a bit self-serving, but I'd like to put up Madison bumgarner for AL Cy Young.

Had he possessed anything of an offense behind him, surely his record would be greater than 13-13 (and isn't the whole #killthewin thing supposed to be in this year?)

Trevor Rosenthal for ROY. Im at work so I don't have his stats handy, but 183 K's, around 15 wins, ERA under 3 I think. Hell I'll put him up for NL Cy Young too

NL MVP:

Mike Trout -- finished the season hitting .299/.388/.584 with 35 doubles, 19 triples, 39 homers, 151 runs scored, 116 RBI and 35 steals. Trout finished third in OBP, second in SLG, second in hits, first in runs scored, 8th in RBI, 7th in steals and fourth in HR and first in extra-base hits in the National League.

I'll also nominate Yadier Molina for MVP. Yadi finished leading the league in hitting at .336/.405/.552 and hit 26 HR with 39 doubles, 99 runs scored, 106 RBI and more walks than Ks (57-to-49). Yadi also shuts down the opponents running game. Molina drove in over 100 runs despite hitting the DL.

Cy Young:

Adam Wainwright. Waino went 27-3, 2.67 ERA, 36 starts, 5 CG, 4 SHO, 246 and 1/3 IP, 1.14 WHIP and 216 Ks.

AL MVP: Miguel Cabrera

AL ROY: Jurickson Profar

AL CY: Yu Darvish

NL CY: Justin Verlander

NL MVP: Ian Kinsler

NL ROY: Wil Myers
