And I'm not sure we've ever defined an answer. Part of me feels like it's a competitive advantage to weaker teams (in a good way) to force me to have Freddy Garcia and Barry Zito on my roster for another 3 weeks.

I'd say you can't make cuts til you're eliminated. That's how I always operated when I was in the playoffs

Agree even though it's not perfect (if one team loses H2H in playoffs they can make their roster cuts before someone who isn't playing H2H and has to wait for results). But non-playoff teams get slight advantage and I think that makes sense.

Agree. Doesn't make sense to be allowed to have control of more than 50 guys while you're in the playoffs.
