Boone Logan had to stop a game of catch Thursday after just five throws when he felt discomfort in his left elbow.
It's obviously not a good sign. Logan was given a cortisone shot a couple days ago, but it hasn't helped. It's not clear whether he'll undergo more tests, but his season is certainly in jeopardy. Sep 12 - 11:49 PM

It's usually a 2-3 week injury, at minimum, so there's a good chance the outfielder's season is over if the Yankees don't make the postseason. Yeah I agree on both. Gardner will likely be the tough call since he may come back as pinch runner, in which case he'll be eligible again.

While things could have been worse, Yankees manager Joe Girardi acknowledged that Gardner will be out for "a while." It's possible he'll miss the rest of the regular season. And even he does make it back, he will likely be limited to pinch-running.

Ken wants to know what the ruling on Gardner is. He was diagnosed with the Grade 1 oblique strain two weeks ago, and hasn't played since. It's really impossible to say whether or not he'd play for the Yanks. I won't vote on it as aforementioned, but Ken would like a ruling before the WCG and LDS.
