Not liking Seinfeld, or liking The Bachelorette.

Clearly this is directed at me, via a conversation we had today. I wasn't juxtaposing the Bachelorette vs. Seinfeld. If someone likes Seinfeld, I'm more than happy to have them critique me liking Bachelorette.
The point was that if you don't like Seinfeld, you have no grounds to judge anything about anyone's TV watching. This poll is just Bren giving himself a hand-job on his life-long campaign to get me to not watch Bachelorette...which in and of itself is an odd obsession for him to have.
And it's also not going to stop me from watching it.

Umm...why would a man want to watch the Bachelorette?
One semi hot girl that is usually a few fries short of a happy meal trying to find love (and money) from a bunch of retarded guys (that may or may not have money)...sounds like an automatic click over to ESPN if you wanted to watch that many guys on TV.

I guess the easy retort is, "Why do you care?" I'm sure, at some point, unless you're a sheep, you've liked something that hasn't necessarily been overly popular with some people. For example, Clint Barmes is still on your roster. Why should I care why you have Clint Barmes on your roster?
I like the Bachelorette for the same reason I like the Fast and the Furious movies & Jersey Shore...it's so horrible I find it entertaining. It's incredibly stupid men hilariously acting like assholes to win the heart of a woman they're most likely going to stop dating in 3 months. It's a human car crash of quite amusing proportions.

Because he is a stud on defense and no one in their right mind trades a superior SS in this league unless you give away the farm...and do you see any other SS out there in the FA pool...exactly.

And on the other hand from The Bachelorette, you have Seinfeld. A show about nothing starring people you would hate in real life, headlined by a comedian that's more annoying than funny. The funniest thing about that show is how many people watched it.

Stephen - I can totally see how a team just out of (ok, WAAYYYYY out of) a playoff spot would need a 34 year old ss with a .565 ops holding down a roster spot. Sorry...I should have noticed that.
Bren - Please shoot down Seinfeld...that's a good idea.

For the first two months I was completely in it...then the wheels feel off(stupid sim).
But yea...I figured I would be tagged with tanking if I played villar with his horrible numbers...I at least try to put the best talent on the field

Yes, and the media is anxiously awaiting the opportunity to use the headlines "Barmes Bar Mess"

I'm totally in on the Clint Barmes bachelor. Also, anxiously awaiting Bren's sure to be intelligent, well thought out, reasonable, and above all not retarded tearing down of Seinfeld. Come on buddy, we believe in you!
Cut to Stephen and/or Pat cutting and pasting this and replacing Seinfeld with AL division previews

I think I summed up the disinterest in Seinfeld already. The one other thing I forgot is that Seinfeld's schtick struck me less as finding humor in everyday life, and more like curmudgeonly ranting ala Andy Rooney from 60 minutes. Take any monologue by the two of them and they work just fine for the other.
