Home Run Pool 2013

As I posted last year, I participate in a nationwide pool that's been going on for a few decades where you pick four players from pre-set lists plus three wildcard players not included on any lists to try to have the sheet with the most home runs at the end of the year. It sounds simple, but it tends to be fairly tricky.
As Jake Levine can attest to, it can make you a thousandaire at the end of the year. It's a lot of fun and it's updated daily online to follow along.
Each entry is $5 and they are due April 8. You have to mail them in, but results are totaled online. If you have any questions, let me know.

Nope, unlimited. Jake did 20 last year. I typically do 5 or so. I think JB does a handful, too.

Obviously missing is last year's champ, Jake Levine, who is a putz.

Not that anyone cares but me, but I'm trying my hardest to repeat for the IBC and am tied for first for the first time all year at 183 HR. There are three others at 183, 1 at 182 and 2 at 181. Seems like it will be a tight race and there's a lot of time left in the season.
Can't list the rest of the IBCers because the list finder option is down tonight. Will update when I can.

Update as of this morning. A couple weeks ago I was in first alone (for a minute) and then have been tied/trying to survive for the last week or so. Good to see Goldschmidt coming around, but the only way I can get back up to the top is with Harper and Adrian Gonzalez doing well. Very few people have them (probably for a good reason), so they're my only chance.
With injuries popping up, other players have helped lists make big pushes, like Soriano, Adam Jones, Kendrys Morales, Cespedes, Holliday, Justin Upton, etc. So, there are a lot more names to follow than even a few weeks ago, where the top lists were very similar. I suspect there will be a lot of movement in the standings the next couple weeks. Just want to avoid moving too far down the list at this point. A multi-homer game out of Harp or Gonzo would be huge.
Pat G: 231 (3 HR out of first)
JB: 197
Nick: 194
Jim: 190
Aaron: 172

Well, if the standings are final, I failed to bring in back-to-back championships in the name of the IBC, but I did pretty well, taking home 3rd place, four out of first. Harper taking a vacation the last two months of the season killed me, as any host of players I picked on other lists would have gotten me into a tie for first or won it. That's the constant struggle of the HR Pool. But, I'm happy to be in the money.
IBC Bests:
Pat: 245
JB: 207
Nick: 207
Jim: 201
Aaron: 181
I'd encourage everyone to give it a crack next year. It's a lot of fun and challenging. And, if you win money it's even better.
