Roster size restrictions on trading

Post by Dodgers »

Hey guys I asked JP the other day for some input, so I'll ask the rest of you.

I'm planning on limiting the roster size when you're making a trade, such that it will be kind of like Yahoo fantasy leagues, where if you are at your roster limit and trade 1 away to get 2 it will ask you who you want to release if the trade is passed. Or, if you trade 2 away to get 1 and your trade partner is at the limit it will ask him who they want to release in order to accept.

My question here lies in the TRC: if you have a lopsided trade at the TRC and make another lopsided trade, how should it handle the trade at TRC in terms of counting your roster size (if you think about it, it will make sense)?

The conclusion JP and I came to was that we should assume the TRC trade will pass, so therefore you'll only be able to get over the limit if you have a trade vetoed while having another trade in processing (either proposed or at TRC).

I'd like to know what the rest of you think though.

I concur with the conclusion that you and JP put forth ...

Yeah I think that's the appropriate conclusion.
