2000: Division champs, LCS appearance
2001: WC champs, LDS appearance
2002: Division champs, LCS appearance
2003: No Bullpen= No playoffs
2004: Division champs, NL Champs
2005: Division champs, LCS appearance
2006: Division champs, World champs


Didn't realize how successful they have been since 2000 rolled around until I sat down and talked about it to Shawn and to myself kind of. Granted you dont get titles for just getting to an LCS or just to the playoffs. But since 2000, theyve at least been to the LCS 5 times and have won it twice with one WS title and 6 playoff appearances.

Any other MLB team been better?

1> easy division
2> either play the Braves or NL West team in NLDS...not exactly a challange.

I agree...they've been good for some time now. Imagine if they had Haren and Carpenter at the top of their rotation instead of Mulder's injured ass.

I'd guess all those teams would be somewhere in the discussion. The Red Sox and Angels have won world championships, and been in the playoffs (or close) just about every season. I'd probably put them at the top.

I don't think you can discuss the Red Sox at all seeing as they didn't win a single division title in the 00s and have only made the playoffs 3 out of 7 years.

I bet they have one of the top 5 regular season records over that span, and they do have a series win.

I think the only other team you can make a case for is possibly the Yankees.They have a series win and the divisional titles to go along with it.
