Ervin Santana and Braden Looper of the IBC A's combined on a no-hitter against the Angels this week. Santana pitched through 8 innings throwing 122 pitches, walking 4 and striking out 8. Huff and Piazza both had 2 RBI's in the win. Philip Humber took his 19th loss of the season.

Nice Job, Jake.

That's my second one this season, after the improbable Kei Igawa masterpiece of perfection back in April. Santana was due to do something decent for me, he had an ERA of 7.00 in his first 6 starts, guess it all evens out in the end :D

2 no nos for the same team in a year, a record of sorts?

I think Nils may have had two in one year in one of our earlier seasons.

Plus as per MLB rules combined no hitters no longer count IIRC. I think they made that rule the same time they made the rule that it doesn't count if you lose (sorry Matt Young).
