I was IM'ing with Jake and the topic came up about creating a private area on the boards for the TRC members to discuss trades. I know I brought it up once before, but don't recall if it was possible.

If we've got a private board for us, I dunno why Shawn couldn't set up a TRC board but then again I could be talking outta my ass

I know we discussed this in the past, but I think we decided not to because the TRC should be voting as 3 individuals rather than reaching consensus before voting. I searched and couldn't find the thread, let me know if you can.

Yeah, I'm gunshy about just going by memory after the draft rule thing so I looked for it as well and couldn't find it back to some point in 2008. I'm pretty sure that Shawn is right that whatever resistance there was to it was based on the preference that we make our own decisions rather than a group decision. I don't remember if that was the consensus, though. I don't have a strong opinion about it after the years that Jim, Ken and I did it.

EDIT: Come to think of it, maybe that was actually discussed via email? I know that's where we initially brought this topic up when we were closely monitoring someone's trades.
