Shawn Lape has decided to resign from the IBC, creating a vacancy in Detroit.

Lape served as GM of the Astros from Oct 2007 until this past offseason when he took over the Tigers. In three and a half seasons, Lape never broke .500 and holds a record of 266-335, good for a .443 winning percentage.

Any GM who quits over a deal getting vetoed by the TRC without bothering to even try to appeal it is NOT a good GM.
