Races

I realize there's only 2 races worth paying attention to (NLW and which 2 ALE teams make it) but where's the activity? I'm dying here at work with nothing to comment on all day. There's only been 3 new news at Rotoworld all day, did I miss some catastrophe outside the cubicle walls?

I lost Sheets and Pence, gave up on the season, and my team has since ripped off 10 in a row. Go figure.

NLC is still a race, though Nate isn't really around to make moves.

I'm trying my hardest to keep it a race...but the Dodgers are a better team right now.

Being 3 GB is half luck, and half busting my ass to make things happen.

If only there were a Wild Card race to keep things interesting, but DJ Etan had to go take a month off and still let his team win a bunch of games.

Not much of a race, since they're both going to make the playoffs.

I've certainly tried to make some moves since July.. but time constraints has also hampered my efforts.

That & most every deal I try to accomplish has had the other party asking for players essential to my chances this year.

The few deals that did materialize and were given a lot of consideration also came with a great deal of risk. The reward could have been great... but it also could have blown up in my face. Ultimately, I decided not to pull the trigger in those cases & now the landscape has changed.

Anyway, I have decided its not wise to handcuff myself for future seasons as well since JP is gearing up, & Aaron & Gabe are also known and proven threats. NLC will remain, as always, one helluva divison. There is still some time to make some changes... even catch Aaron & win this thing.. but I'm not going to sell my future short either.. especially since I believe I have a ballclub that, in spite of maybe being the WC representation, could very easily be representing the NL in the IBC World Series.

32 HRs and 106 RBIs in my retarded offense. I think he'll help.

I hated trading Wily Mo, he's a sim monster. Btw, did you guys realize that Wily Mo is second behind Miguel Cabrera in career HR for a players 25 and under? The things you learn on baseball-reference.

Damn, here I was thinking Wily Mo was a savior...but at least I can play him.

3 game sweep over first place Dodgers...

still 3 GB with 3/5 of my pitching staff on the DL.

But also still have 3 more games at Dodger stadium before it's all said and done.
