Merry Christmas

Though it is early to wish all a Merry Christmas, in a house with children the excitement builds as school break starts, the decorations are up, and some gift exchanges have began with cousins who will be traveling over the holidays ... [Fortunately the triplets are now old enough that we can leave them at our home with their cousins and and our disabled daughter while the adults go out for dinner and a few drinks
]
And today I received a very nice early Christmas gift/birthday gift from Patti as she went in cahoots with my buddies who fly out from Illinois to attend the Sox v. Sox series in Fenway every year. I am meeting them for 5.5 days (as I turn 55 this month) in AZ for spring training in late March ... she had to let me know before the flight itinerary arrived via our shared e-mail.
I used to go to the White Sox spring training frequently when they were in FLA but haven't been since they moved to AZ. Can't imagine the fans can get as close in the new facility (Used to be able to rub shoulders with Frank Thomas and Bo Jackson before they went out and put on HR hitting clinics ...) as we used to, but I am looking forward to finding out. In many ways I am a lucky guy - this just serves as one more reminder.
Hope you all have a good Christmas and may your 2010 be a solid year!
