Hamilton

Josh Hamilton (back) has been shut down for the rest of the season.
Hamilton has played in just two games since September 2 due to a pinched nerve in his back. The Rangers have just six games remaining on their schedule. The 28-year-old will finish with a .268/.315/.426 batting line, 10 home runs and 54 RBI in 336 at-bats

Fwiw, Hamilton was shutdown while the Rangers were still alive in the playoffs (mathematically.) It's an issue since Nils beat Levine and now will be facing me in the playoffs.

From my perspective this is a no doubter. Hamilton was done. He really shouldn't have even been out there the couple of times he was, and it just didn't work.

From nils:

So, can you bring an idea to the exco for me? In the article from 9/29, beyond everything that has been brought up in that long post, that Hamilton will rest for 3-4 weeks, then brgin his normal offseason routine. Based on that, and since I sat him for the entire 1st rd, can He be available for the NLCS? What do you think?

I don't see any reason for him to be available outside of a league appeal that passes. We can revote if you want, but that seems like it would be the worst.

We voted, he won't get it overturned on an appeal, no
