2010 Block

Post by Yankees »

So my needs for 2010 are a power-hitting outfielder. I am willing to drastically overpay for one of these types. Please PM me.

My block can include:
Offense:
Randy Winn (.261/.318/.353)
Michael Brantley (.309/.362/.340)
Alfonso Soriano (.241/.303/.423)
Matt Diaz (.313/.390/.488)

Pitching:
Starting:
Derek Lowe - ground ball machine, 3 year should be fine, usually excellent in the SIM
Jeremy Guthrie - 5.05 era, but 3 year splits should be good
Todd Wellemeyer - tough year, but 3 year should be ok
Shawn Hill - back in 2010, 3 year should be decent, still only 28
Jeremy Bonderman - News: Manager Jim Leyland expects Bonderman to rejoin the starting rotation next season, the Detroit News reports.
Spin: The Tigers plan all along has been to have Bonderman pitch out of the bullpen for the remainder of this season and return to starting next year, but it's nice to here the manager back that decision. After year's of getting burned by Bonderman, it'll be hard for owners committing to him on draft day. But if he stays healthy, Bonderman could be a great late-round dart.

Relieving:
Doug Brocail - 2.70 era, no runs in 9 outings off the DL
Matt Capps - tough year, still a top flight arm
Taylor Buchholz - dominating in 08, back from TJ in 10
Joel Hanrahan - 1.78 era, 36 k in 30 ip since going to the Pirates
Chris Smith - 3.40 era, 1.18 whip in 45 ip's

Wagner's gone, and thus Oliver off the block as well. Still willing to overpay for a big bat...
