2009 Projection Disc

We have no other alternative and it doesn't appear that a better option will present itself, so we are going to use the ZiPS disc as our projections for this year. While it is extremely disappointing that Diamond Mind did not produce or have a hand in the ZiPS disc, they did basically endorse it for this season.

It will be an odd year to say the least, but, it will still be fun and a challenge for everybody. I hope everybody is still looking forward to this year regardless of what projections we use. The results still count all the same as any other years, and everything will still work the same way as it has in the past.

We will set a date for the signing freeze /waiver period to begin shortly. Dan plans to release the final build of the ZiPS database next week as he said, "The next, final build, mainly for "real" season players, will be released in about 2 weeks with 25-man rosters and depth charts and any outstanding bugs fixed." So we will likely not lift the freeze until then in case players are added or something changes.

Are we resetting the waiver order, or using the current.

As though there's anyone worth rushing out and claiming on this disc.

If you've seen my projections, anyone with a batting average over .270 is worth claiming to me.
