BP 16 teams left.
Goldstein claims that he's going to be doing about three a week from her on. Yeah right.

Including Sickels with BP and BA is like including Rocky V with Rocky's I - IV.

Don't leave out Rocky Balboa. That movie was badass.

They had to call it Rocky Balboa because if they called it Rocky VI it would acknowledge Rocky V.

Absolutely correct...

Sickels has his issues (I think he's become a case of the'lunatics running the asylum') but at least he can meet a deadline. Once per week from Goldstein? Seriously? is he starting each top 11 from scratch? I would think that as BP's prospect hound, he should have info on these guys that he updates regularly.

At least when Goldstein does it it seems well researched and reported. It's easy to meet deadlines when you're not publishing anything opinionated.

Sorry - opinionated was the wrong word - "original"

I'm not saying Sickels is all that good (his was the first site I stopped checking for a reason) but Goldstein's doesn't really seem all that original or well-researched, at least not his top 11's. I would expect a BP writer to have more to say as far as statistical analysis of the players.

If we were statistically analyzing prospects then Jeremy Reed and Craig Brazell would be two of the top prospects of the past decade...

iF YOU WERE STRICTLY DOING STATISTICAL ANALYSIS, YES, YOU'D BE RIGHT.
bUT IF YOU'RE NOT DOING SOMETHING DIFFERENT FROM ba (WHICH gOLDSTEIN ISN'T) AND DOING IT WITH A SMALLER STAFF, FEWER CONTACTS AND CLEARLY PRODUCING AN INFERIOR PRODUCT... WHY BOTHER DOING IT? bp'S PROSPECT ANALYSIS DOESN'T STAND OUT, IT'S NOT BETTER IN ANY WAY THAN bp'S. sURE, YOU GET A DIFFERENT OPINION, BUT i DOUBT gOLDSTEIN'S CONTACTS ARE ANY BETTER THAN LAW'S OR sICKELS. i LOVE bp'S STATISTICAL WORK, BUT THEIR PROSPECT STUFF IS PRETTY BLAH.

Sorry about the Caps... I'm too lazy to retype that.

It's an added feature to a great site - and I actually think Goldstein is pretty solid - lazy - but pretty solid.

Sickels does it for a living. And he REALLY sucks.

Give Sickels this much credit... he's able to make a living at it. Granted, he lives in Nebraska or some other middle-of-nowhere state where the cost of living (and thus, quality of life) is about 30 years behind most of the country. I think he used to be better, it seems like now he leans too much on the community of fans and scouting wannabes on his site.

I've been wondering about Goldstein... is his work at BP his job? Or is it a hobby? I know for Marc Normandin it's a side thing. If KG doesn't pick up the pace on the top 11's though, I bet he isn't with BP this time next year.

I agree. He's had insight beyond what any of the others have shown on quite a few players. Feliz, Sandoval, etc.
