Might as well get the new year off with a marketing blitz......

IBC Mariners are in the market for another backend RH bullpen arm or closer, upgrade in RF, upgrade to any rotation spot and a new 3b/2b or SS.

Have a number of solid prospects to add to deals along with some young almost MLB ready players.

Rotation guys I'd like to upgrade....

Armondo Galarraga, RHP
Jonathan Sanchez, LHP
Anibal Sanchez, RHP (Strong K rate in 2008 8.7K/9in, in his return from surgery last year). Still only 24 years old.

Would add any of the following guys to deals to make it work.

Tim Alderson, RHP - #6 prospect in CAL League, Lead the CAL League with a 2.79 ERA as a 19 year old. Plus command of solid stuff.

Bryan Anderson, C - just turned 22 yrs old. Power starting to emerge, nice left handed bat for a backstop, significant improvement in his defensive skills this season. May need a little more time seasoning in AAA in 2009, then ready for the show. Hit .308/.377/.416 between AA and AAA in 2008.

Brett Lawrie, C - Brewers 2008 #1 pick and #2 prospect according to BP, Offensive minded catcher, scouts debate whether he is the best hitting prospect to come out of Canada since Morneau.

Andrew Lambo, LF/1b - Dodgers #5 prospect (BP) 2008 and Midwest League #7 prospect (BA), Teenager the Dodgers gave a taste of AA late in the season as they were impressed with his development.

Neil Walker, 3b - Switch hitting third sacker, led his IL team in HR's in 2008, #7 prospect in the International League, improved his D at the hot corner and now projects as league average defensively at minimum, very strong arm.

Zach McAllister, RHP - Ground ball machine who's 2.09 ERA mark between Low A and High A ranked 7th in the minors, Yankees #6 prospect (BA), Projects as a mid-rotation workhorse.

Arodys Vizcaino, RHP - GCL's #11 prospect, highest bonus paid to international pitcher in 2007, 17 year old, Plus fastball at 91-95 and could add a tick as he matures, plus curveball, 9.8K/9in in 2008.

Adam Moore, C - Offensive minded catcher who's put up OPS over .900 the past two seasons, Southern Leagues #18 prospect (BA), Mariners #6 (BA), Hit .319/.396/.506 in the Southern League in 2008.

Josh Donaldson, C - Another offensive minded catcher, however a bit behind Moore in his defensive skills (primary blocking balls). Donaldson got off to an extremely slow start in April and May in the notoriously cold and tough to hit in Midwest League last season, before turning it on after the trade to the A's and a promotion to High A. He obviously benefited greatly from the hitter friendly environment of the Cal League putting up, .330/.391/.564 and smashing 4 doubles and 4 HR's in the Cal League playoffs.

Stephen Marek, RHP - future closer prospect, 10K/9in in 2008.

Other players could be available depending on the deal. Just looking to do some shopping and swapping in 2009.

Almost forgot, I also have.......

Dontrelle "the D-Train Wreck" Willis

...who could be thrown into a transaction if anyone believes that he's actually going to learn how to pitch again at some point.

Alright, the bullpen is probably acceptable at this point.

Still looking for any upgrades to my starting rotation. Will combine Burnett, Galarraga, Jon Sanchez, A Sanchez with any above mentioned prospect/prospects for a better starting pitcher.

Also still looking for an upgrade in RF (over Ankiel) if one presents itself.

Also still looking for a starting middle infielder.

And I'm sure everyone is disappointed they missed out, but the D-Train Wreck has left the station.

He may, but what he really needs is to get traded back to an NL team, so he can at least be an offensive juggernaut.

Alright, I'm back in the market for a closer again.

If anyone has an extra closer sitting around accumulating dust, give me a shout.

Let me see if I can dust off my last prospect, sitting over in the corner of the dugout, spittin' seeds on the ground so I can offer him to ya.
