That is pretty bad...

Let me take your 4 best players for a bunch of prospects an an aging DH.

Pretty much why I don't do many deals in this league myself.

I didn't put it out there because I think everyone will agree with my valuation of the players (I know they won't), but because who cares? If you're so pissed about it how I value your guys, rant at me about exactly why you don't like it, or counter-offer, or do something to show how the offer could be improved instead of pouting and stomping about it. If someone hates an offer I make, then the central one or two guys I've offered are usually not offered again.

Besides, I wanted to have a record of the offer so terrible it earned me spontaneous public censure from Braves. Then he can look at it and grow more regretful as each month of the season goes by next year. Papi back to being Papi (if being an aging-DH is averaging 44 HR/yr and a 1.000+ OPS, cool. He's not even the oldest or most injured player in this deal. Wrist heals, Papi hits). Keep your eye on that Flores kid too. There seems to be some buzz about him.

I think we'll all see that Papi is an average player without Manny hitting behind him

well, his value is certainly less to a NL team.

That's true, but he also was the player with the highest offensive value of any in DMB this year (10.2 RC/27) so he carried me to the postseason on the strength of his bat - glove or no glove. Manny makes any lineup better, but its kind of silly to think that he'll turn "regular" surrounded by anyone, let alone stars like Youk, Drew, Teixeira (i hope).

Gotta agree with Dan on this one. it's not a great offer by any means, but the callout was pretty unnecessary.

This thread is really bringing me back to the days of the old messageboard. Sometimes I do miss it...

I'm making Matt Wieters available, but Florida and Baltimore are the only ones who are allowed to bid on him, and they have to bid in this public forum. :)

ell oh ell. I offer Arthur Lee Rhodes and Cory Doyne. Wait, I just dropped Doyne. So just Rhodes. That should get 'er done anyway.

Sadly, I don't think I could top that, but I am willing to make former all-world 3B prospect Andy Marte or actual Detroit Tiger farmhand Jonah Nickerson available.
