I love that JB gets pick 113 for a player that was immediately dropped by the other team. Early X-mas gift?

Maybe next time I won't get crickets from the other 26 teams when I say something will be moved by 4:15.

Or you could not give things away essentially for free? If you didn't want it, instead of trading it to a powerhouse for something you were going to release anyway, you could just release the pick and let it be decided fairly on the waiver wire where the whole league gets to decide if they want to try and claim it or not.

But whatever, I'm not gonna make a big deal out of it. Apparently I'm the only one who thinks trading things for free is bad for the league.

I remember there was a similar issue with Jag a couple of years ago (I think Ivan DeJesus was the player involved). It happens.

It's fine - I can take it...What you don't know is that JB and I worked on a deal...I currently have double secret rights to whoever is selected in the first pick in the 2nd round of the draft. This was an outlier to a trade that we made in 2004. So I'm actually working for myself...hah!

Everyone did have a fair shot at both the picks and the players. Whose fault is it that the only teams I heard from in a week were the Cubs, Cards, Yankees, and a drive by from the Tigers? Did I trade an asset that belonged to me for a player I knew I probably wasn't going to keep? Yes I did. Did I sacrifice a mid-late fourth round pick to show that when I post in the marketplace I'm serious about actually trading? Yes I did. Is it a big deal? No it isn't. That it happened to be with JB was coincidence, though the trade proposal did smell of brimstone when it arrived and instead of a ping it made a magician style 'poof' and just appeared in my que written in blood.
