Marlins placed LHP Renyel Pinto on the 15-day disabled list with a left hamstring strain.
His arm obviously needs a break as well. Clearly overworked after getting off to a terrific start, he had allowed 15 runs in his last nine appearances, none of which covered more than an inning. His ERA jumped from 2.61 to 4.50 during the span.
He is availible for a reliever to help me this year.
