Looks like they're going to give it a shot with these guys - really nice to see. It's unfortunate that they play in such a horrible market - hopefully their winning will rally support.

Obviously I'm an unabashed Yankee fan, but I'm also a huge huge baseball fan. After years of watching talented young teams get blown apart, it's nice to see one that's actually trying to keep the pieces together.

The talent level on their 40-man roster and minor league system is pretty mind-blowing. Next year they could feature a rotation of Kazmir, Shields, Garza, Jackson, and Price - good grief. Navarro, Iwamura, Longoria, Pena, Brignac, Crawford, Upton, Jennings, Gomes, Perez, Royster, Jaso. They also have Wade Davis, Jacob McGee, Jeff Niemann, and Jeremy Hellickson around.

They are and will continue to be fun to watch...

Yup. and with a team that opened the season with a combined salary just over Alex Rodriguez's, who wouldn't root for them?
